Sharing files online is more than generating a URL. The recipient needs to recognise the delivery, understand its contents and know how long the download remains available.
FilesUp attaches every delivery to a person or a named link conversation. The message travels with the files, while access uses a random, hard-to-guess token. File storage stays private and upload and download permissions are temporary.
Original files remain available for 10 days. After expiry, they can no longer be downloaded and are deleted; the thumbnail and send and download records stay in the history to preserve context.

Technology helps, but a secure delivery also depends on a few simple decisions before you send.
- Confirm the recipient's email address or phone number before starting the delivery.
- Use a clear message so the person recognises the source and purpose of the share.
- Do not publish the link in open channels or forward it to people who do not need access.
- Avoid including unnecessary data and delete a share manually if it is no longer needed.
- For especially sensitive information, also follow your organisation's security and data-protection policies.

Are FilesUp links public?
Content is not listed publicly. Access depends on possessing a link with a random, temporary token, so that link should be treated as private information.
Does FilesUp use end-to-end encryption?
No. The current version protects data with TLS in transit, private storage and provider encryption at rest, but it does not provide end-to-end encryption.
Can I revoke a share before 10 days?
Yes. The sender can delete the transfer, making the download unavailable before the normal expiry time.
Does the recipient need to install an app?
No. Access opens in the browser, and recipients can download without an account or installation.
